TAsmall.jpg (10599 bytes) has been a writer since she could pick up a pen
and but only started writing songs in September of 2001 when she suffered the loss of a friend
that affected her deeply. It was around that time that she formed her first bluegrass band with a couple of girlfriends,
and they spent the winter diligently honing their craft.
Like most bands just starting out, each member had their own level of commitment to the muse,
and by the following summer they had parted musical ways.

But the bluegrass bug had bitten, andTAsmall.jpg (10599 bytes) immersed herself in the NYC bluegrass scene,
pickin’ and grinnin’ at the area’s bluegrass jams, namely Paddy Reilly’s and the renowned Baggot Inn in New York’s west village.
Surrounded by veterans of the bluegrass world, she was a quick study,
and quickly became respected as a formidable bass player and singer.

But little known to most people,
in the respite of the music room of her home, the songs were piling up.
The bluegrass girl who once spent her time writing countless poems and stories,
was now building a collection of original material that she thought would forever stay hidden,
until the opportunity to record was lain before her in July, 2006.

With  the arrival of her newly released CD,
